Prayer Requests

• Our marriage - Jeremy works full-time at Arrow Plumbing. He leaves at 6am every morning and comes home around 630pm. He comes home to a house full of college students who need questions answered and me, who hasn't seen him all day and wants to spend some time with him. Often we are engaged in late night activities such as Family Meetings on Monday nights that last til 10pm or Worship at the BSM which lasts til 10pm. We have busy lives that often leave us scraping a few hours on the weekend to enjoy each other's company. We love where we are. We just pray that God will help us to use our time effectively.
• Elise - My sister is in a tough situation. She has a really hard time finding work due to her circumstances. She is living with my mom and lacks motivation to do much. Please pray that she would realize God's love for her and would find something to put her hands to work.
  Elise is home and happy. This is a HUGE leap in her attitude! I feel like she finally understands that our family loves her and she feels like she belongs. Bentley is 8 months old and I'm praying for him on a daily basis, and that the love she feels for this little child will help her realize how much God loves her.
  She is now beginning the process of training to become a dog groomer. She is excited and is looking forward to working with dogs. 
• Unity in the house - vision for our students to go after what God has for them. Maturity and a sense of belonging for our students. That they would hear from the Spirit to know how to proceed.
  This year is very different. We are seeing a stirring in the students for prayer overall! Praise the Lord. There are a few students taking initiative to be involved in their neighbors lives and many are following after them. We have set up events and activities and are becoming a strong presence in the community. There are still a few in our house on the fringes because of school and busyness. May they feel like they are a vital part of this family even with be obligated to spend much of their time hitting the books.
• Vision for PHOS
  In September we asked the students what they saw as the purpose of the house. This is what they came up with...
  * Reach out to Bayou Oaks and UH as a whole.
  * Outreach-neighbors.
  * Community (in house)
  * Encouragement
  * Prayer
  * Love (genuineness)
  * Training ground
  * Gathering place (hospitality)
  * Lead by example in how we live/love.
  * How we treat one another
  
  * Church plant
  Please pray that we would not just speak this out, but follow through with our lifestyles.
• Direction - Jeremy and I are balancing being present and content where God has us right now and preparing/ looking ahead to where He wants us next. We are strongly considering Corpus Christi as our next home. We will need provision, jobs, income, and a home. Please pray these things for us and for our families as we make a transition. Also, we see this as a year of rest for us to be able to focus on our marriage before we move to Monmouth, Oregon.
